1.6 Compliance Corrective Action Policy

  • PURPOSE:

    Every confirmed act of non-compliance may result in a corrective action. A policy and procedure will secure strict adherence of state or federal laws, statutes, or regulations or any violation of the Compliance Program.

    POLICY:

    • Every confirmed act of non-compliance may result in a corrective action.
    • Disciplinary action will be fair and consistent, with all circumstances taken into consideration.
    • All personnel providing health related services will be informed of the consequences of violating the Compliance Program.

    PROCEDURE:

    1. All cases will be evaluated to determine the severity of the violation allowing for any unusual or mitigating circumstance.
    2. Cases will be referred to the appropriate authorities if applicable.
    3. Reckless or intentional disregard for state or federal laws, statutes or regulations that apply to the delivery of healthcare will result in employment termination.
    4. Enforcement actions, under the supervision of the Compliance Officer, President, Director of Operations, and the CEO will be equally administered to all personnel providing healthcare services to Lister Healthcare Corporation.

    FIRST OFFENSE: DOCUMENTATION, ORAL WARNING, TRAINING AND EDUCATION
    SECOND OFFENSE: WRITTEN REPRIMAND, TRAINING AND EDUCATION
    THIRD OFFENSE: SUSPENSION, WITH OR WITHOUT PAY
    FOURTH OFFENSE: TERMINATION
